In their simplest form, they are combined with a soil mixer/feeder, and a conveyor for delivering the soil cubes for manual handling

For medium to large scale nurseries, tray seeders are always preferred, seeding directly to the desired tray type, such as polystyrene or other soft or hard plastic.
